The curve is what separates this from a straight paddle. It spreads force over a wider area, so the sensation is broader and less concentrated at any single point.

Care
Wipe with a barely damp cloth after use and let it dry naturally, away from direct heat.
Condition occasionally with a leather balm to keep the striking face supple.
Keep the hardware dry and away from perfume, lotions and household chemicals.
Store flat or hanging, out of direct sunlight, so the curve keeps its shape.
Safe and considered use
For consenting adults aged 18+ only. Agree a safeword or non-verbal signal before you begin, and check in throughout.
Strike only the fleshy areas — buttocks and upper thighs. Avoid the lower back and kidneys, the spine, the tailbone, joints, the neck and the head.
Start light and build. The longer handle carries more swing weight than it looks like it does, so the first few strikes should be well under what you intend to end on.
Stop immediately if there is broken skin, numbness or any pain that continues after you stop.
