The Long Leaf Paddle

A long-leaf paddle cut from a single piece of genuine cowhide, shaped for reach and control.

The elongated leaf profile carries its weight toward the tip, so the strike lands broad and resonant rather than sharp. At 62cm overall, it gives comfortable distance without sacrificing precision — the balance sits close to the hand, letting you place each stroke exactly where you intend, from a slow warm-up tap to something far more deliberate.

Every piece is cut, shaped and burnished by hand in our England studio. The edges are sealed and smoothed so the leather stays clean-lined through repeated use, and the wrist loop is set with plated hardware for a secure hold.

Length is measured from the end of the handle to the tip of the leaf. The balance point sits close to the hand, so the paddle stays controllable at full extension.

If you are new to impact play, start light and build gradually. Keep to fleshy areas and avoid the lower back, kidneys, spine and joints.

CARE
Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth after use. For a deeper clean use a barely damp cloth and let the leather air-dry naturally, away from direct heat. Apply a small amount of leather conditioner occasionally to keep the hide supple. Store flat or hanging by the wrist loop, out of prolonged direct sunlight.

PRODUCTION
Made to order in our Birmingham studio. Each piece is individually cut, shaped and burnished by hand, so slight variation in grain and edge tone is natural to genuine leather.
